T4 Conversion Questions

I've seen the topic debated on a few other forums, but nothing really solid, so I figured I would ask here and see what the consensus says.
I have a Factory Team T4 that I've thought about converting over to an SC10. The last rundown of parts I've seen looks to be around the $150-200 range to get everything necessary for converting it over. I know it normally wouldn't be worth it trying to convert everything over, but since many people with SC10's order a lot of the factory team parts made for the T4, would it be worth it then? Or should I just forget it and buy the rtr or kit and sell the T4?

well, it looks like the RTR is about $220 and I found the kit for $170. since the prices are so close to what you would pay to convert, I would just keep the T4 and save up the money for wich ever you want of the SC10s

That's probably what I'll end up doing since I would really be wasting the other parts from the T4. It's still a ways off and I may just end up selling the T4 altogether to buy a kit, lol. I may keep it around though, who knows.

if you sell it, youll probably want it down the road. thats just the way these things go! keep the t4

True dat, it's one of those classic greats (to me) in the rc world so it really is worth keeping for the occasional rip around the yard or race, that and I always wanted a RC10 when I was younger. Probably won't get crap for it, as with most things used, so yeah...probably keep it.

You could always take some of the FT parts off of the T4 and put them on the SC10, like shocks and stuff. But yeah I would just buy RTR or the kit and keep the T4 too if I were you.

I kept mine and have more fun with it now, now that I have two like trucks..

Yeah, I still have quite a bit of fun with the T4, it's still quicker and more nimble than the SCT's. Just nowhere to race around here....well, noone is interested in racing that class anyways.

i wouldnt do that... just sell it and buy a sc10 and it would be probably cheaper and then you wont get nagged if u try to race in a all stock class with it

Nah, I'll just keep it. It's a factory team but I still wouldn't get as much as I wanted out of it. It's still good for messing around, just not as popular to race anymore around here. There are a few tracks within a few hours drive that still race stadium trucks, so it'll be worth it to me to keep it.
