i don't really like traxxas that much, but does anyone realise that 90 percent of the noobs that sign up here are having problems with t-maxx's? why is that?

Because its the most popular ( and biggest POS) out there.

It's one of the easiest to get started in nitro RC with and one of the most advertised.

Not a really bad rig anymore with all the traxxas has done to it unless you get one with the built in gremlins that the 2.5 engines were known for. Some ran great, others grenaded. I know the 3.3 is very similar, but I can't be certain it's not due to inexperienced people buying these things or if the 3.3 is really that troublesome.

the main issue i had was the bulkhead design. i was replacing pins every other time i ran it. ( the 2.5 is a POS)

First off most people start off with a less expensive rig. Traxxas spends a lot on advertising. They promote their stuff as "Ready to Race". People buy 'em.

But you have to admit, the Slash, Slayer, and Summit are all bad ass rigs, Traxxas or not!

I'm on my 4th tmaxx now i never had a problem with any part on any of them except the 90 degree connector on the hot wire. And no i didnt get rid of them because they suk. I trade up every time. I also have a revo. Traxxas's are ez to upgrade and Parts are abundant and just about every hobby shop.

i don't see many revo, stampede,4 tec, rustler, bandit, sport, slash, slayer,or e-maxx questions, maybe one every once in a while...

but there are at least 4 t maxx questions a day "at least"

Everyone is dead on right here, especially with the "ready to race" and the "45 M.P.H" or whatever written on the box. I have had NUMEROUS problems with my t-maxx, and was thinking about getting out of the hobby, until I ran for 3 hours without breaking anything but the easy-start wire. I was a great feeling...yada yada I'm rambling on lol.

Again, it all started with the T-MAXX as far as MT's are concerned. Most noobs want a MT. I push the Aftershock to anyone and everyone whom will listen but most don't take the advice. Nope. It HAS to be a T-MAXX. I dunno...

Oh I'm not argueing with you i see it alot and i think the reason is as stated above ez to get and suggested RTRace So as a noob i would run right for it. I mean look at the prices we pay for our riggs OFNA, SAVAGE and so on. That kind of deters the noobie. Thats a good bit more to pay. So what i'm trying to say , I guess i could have said it in one word. Noob . But not in the bad sense of the word . Because we all were at some point. I don't know it's just my MO Plus i don't think they are making them like they used to all of mine are older.

Too bad I bought my T-Maxx before I joined....and you lol. I would have taken your advice Cody!:D

Hell, yea, i got the aftershock before i got the tmaxx, still have the aftershock as a roller, and got rid of the tmaxx. Never really had any SERIOUS problems with it, besides the fact that it was a nitro. lol

i don't really like traxxas that much,

Someone has never beaten the crap out of a slash before. lol

i hated the .15s i never could tune them, i think out of all the traxxas vehicles i owned the best running one was a stampede, i can't remember if i had it running good with a os.12 or a traxxas .15, i know the rest of the .15s i had were trash, but this was also 6 years ago or so. i haven't messed with them much since then. i know i been wanting another electric stampede, i built one from a kit when they were available. however ipicked a xl5 up at the hobby store yesterday and it felt really really heavy.

i'm off to bed had a long day at work then came home to work on a vendetta all night "blah" stripped a brand new spur, thank god they ordered a spare andi bought it, "didn't order 2" it was a accident, butit came in handy i put the new spur in ran it once outside and strippedit in about a minute or 2,so i brought it back inside put the other new one in and felt the mesh, didn't seem rite, i had to take the slot piece out of themotor mount that is supposed to pre line it up for you , take a dremel, and make the original slot in the motor mount a little longer scoot themotor all the way over and put it together, that was too tight and the pinion kept coming loose from the motor shaft, so i loosened the top motor mount screw up and the motor moved a tiny bit and it feels like the mesh might be ok now, "idk" but ihad to put it all together and take it apart a few times to get it rite since the little piece that has the "pre line up dots" in it wasn't lining up rite. it's nolonger inthere.

i'm done rambeling night folks.
