Hello,

Well, i am working on an HPI Nitro RS4 3-Evo, and the carb body somehow fell apart at the neck, so we got a new carb body. The new body looks kinda different, even though it says it is for the T-15 engine. My problem is, the idle screw is screwed all the way down, and the carb still closes all the way when the brakes are applied. The only way to keep it running is when the throttle trim on the radio is turned up, then when you apply the brakes, the engine dies. It really got iratating, so my friend gave it to me to fix, only thing is, i really dont know how to go about fixing it. Since the idle screw is all the way in, and it doesn't hold it open, I'm out of ideas. I am going to take it apart tomorrow morning, just hoping to get some food for thought or some advice.

Thanks,
David

Wow, I'm stumped. All I can think of is to remove the idle screw entirely and see if something is wrong with it. Or the hole it goes into.

No, it is definitly the T-15 (the newer one on the rs4 3 evos). I found the problem. At first, i thought the idle screw was making the spring bottom out, so i took the spring off, and there was a bunch of threadlock type stuff on the threads, stoping the screw at that point. So, I cleaned that stuff off with a fine wire brush, and it works fine now!

Thanks for the help! :hammer:
