has ne1 tried swapping pistons and sleeves in hopes to get some better compression. Same two engines ofcourse.

Never tried it but i dont think that i want to. I was thinking about it before but i dont think that it would make that much of a diff.....Nick

pistons and sleeves are matching pairs, u can't switch a piston with a different sleeve. wont work. as i said the piston and sleeve is a matching pair.

I aggree with maxx trooper, and as the engine wears it takes away small bits of metal so you might actually lose compression.

if there from the same engines & bore size as long as you used the matched slug & sleeve, should work.
I put a 24.7 pro piston & sleeve in my standard 24.7 & with a little port-case matching______ still runs super great. Its not recomended but if you use a different piston in the sleeve, make sure both pistons are the same, lenth, pin hole position, dia. of hole in pin hole, put it together with the back plate off & slowly rotate the engine & see if anything snags. You can also take a small tubing cutter & make a second groove in the piston for a little better compression (sometimes) if the piston isn't to lose. I have 3 oil grooves above the pin hole & 1 just below. Be REAL careful if your gonna do this so you dont cut off the top of the piston-lol,lol. The newer abc sleeves can take alot of abuse as long as ther not overly over heated
