Hi All

Just waiting for my stock HPI Nitro Firestorm 10T to arrive and pondering what hop-ups to purchase first...

Would be happy to accept suggestions from anybody who has one of these trucks... Thinking about new springs/spur gear etc as opposed to anodised/alloy bling stuff...

I will be using the truck for general running on grass/hard sand and a few minor jumps...

Thanks in advance

Not too familiar with the Firestorm, but I suggest you limit the aluminum simply because it bends, doesn't break and it'll end up costing you more.

I'd suggest RPM arms once the stockers break, though.

I have this truck and the first thing I suggest is RPM alum arms because once you start jumping parts will start to break. Also might want to get a wheelie bar because this truck gets a little difficult to handle. I'm trying to sell mine because need more money for the revo and was not that happy with the truck as far as the handling. This truck can't handle the beating I give my trucks.

Hi DaveNJ80.

I was thinkng about the wheelie bar when I looked at a couple of vids on you-tube, but have not seen one that is made for this truck (did you have one fitted? also, was it bought or home made?), the only wheelie bar I have seen was for the Savage but I know nothing about the specs of this one.

I will not be making any crazy skatepark/bmx jumps, just need to make the truck stable enough to withstand general rough/uneven ground.

Did you find the shocks on this truck suitable, and would I be better upgrading these to alloy, or just get better springs.

Thank you for you advise so far... Sorry if I have loaded you with too many questions.

regards

No problem, we're here to help each other out...Anyways mine is all stock, I never changed anything beside radio/reciever and hump back battery. I really didn't find the stock suspension very suitable especially for bashing but I also run my trucks hard. If your only running on dirt tracks with small or no jumps you should be fine but suggest to upgrade the suspension. As far as the wheelie bar, I'm not sure who makes it but I seen a guy that runs a firestorm at my local track and he has a wheelie bar. If I see him again I can ask who makes it but in the mean time I found this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/BanzaiBars-Wheelie-Bar-fits-HPI-Nitro-Firestorm_W0QQitemZ220247262640QQihZ012QQcategoryZ44028QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
