Hey guys, I was just wondering what could cause your radio's transmitting distance to greatly decrease suddenly. I've been using the stock radio on my Rc18t since I got it about two years ago and never had a problem, and now it starts glitching and freaking out at only 50-75 feet. I don't have that clean control that I used to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -GRG

Check for crinks or pinches in the receiver antenna. Try swapping crystals on the same band.

Oh yeah crystals! I had the same thing happen on my RC10T4.....Exactly as you described then....It had a runaway with a mamba Maxx 7700 Kva with a fat Lipo powering it. 45 MPH across the parking lot and launched a good twenty feet or so in to some bushes. I got real lucky that the whole thing was not a loss. I never believed the crystal thing until then. I even swapped the receiver and was ready to toss the ESC.....until a buddy wanted to try swapping out the crystals....I thought he was full of crap. I lost a six pack on that one...

I've had a bad servo do that. it took out 2 rx's before i figured it out.
