When refering to the "left" side is this the driver's side or the passenger side. Assuming that you drive like an american.

I always define left side as the driver's side, but I suppose it depends on how you are "looking" at the car. I suppose that's why I make it a point to say "driver's side" if I'm talking to a mechanic about a problem, as in "I hear a ticking sound in the driver's side, rear tire."

Thats the problem, I hav a probem on the drivers side front in my car, i know what part I need. I found the part online for half of what my mechanic can get it for. I just need to know if it is the left or right side.

Its a supid question but....I don't know!?!

Yeah, if the part you are referring to is listed as "left side" then it is the driver's side. I had to buy a whole new tailight assembly for my Tahoe and it was listed as the right side (passenger) which is what I needed. I think you're safe if it is listed as left side.

too late now...I ordered it as soon as scott posted. I'm not too worried though, he seems like a fairly intelligent person.

You define left and right as relative to sitting in the car, passenger and driver's side relative to the region (country.)

The proper way when referring to left or right on a vehicle is when viewed from the rear of the vehicle looking forward. With airplanes whenever a pilot says something about right or left we have to double check if they mean pilot's left or mechanics left cause they always screw it up! LOL

Is that something like the radio not working in the OFF position? lol
