This thread refers to the one thats check out what I'm getting .Well iv gotten it and as you know it has a pull stary that may explain it all.Its like a virgin it wolnt give it up. I have the 1/8 scalehot bodies lightning rr rtr. iI knew it would be hard to start. Now i really know yall wernt kidding about pull starts giving you blisters. maybe I'm doing something wrong please help.

A few things. Check the glow plug, glow starter, make sure there is fuel going to the carb, and maybe put a few drops of fuel in the carb. Also make sure that the carb is close there is a 1-2 mm gap. try this stuff then let us know how its going.

well i got it started I bought a new glow starter and new glow plugs but the glow starter has to charge for ten hours. I got it started with the piece of crap glow starter that it came with.but i think its the glow starter.i ran it through its first tank and it wolnt start now either.ill try all the tings u said what soes putting fuel in the carb do?thanks

nick

it was flooded so now ill try it again

thanks

just makes sure that there is fuel in the engine. From what your saying its definatly your glow starter. Make sure you break the engine in exactly the way your manual says to. A few other things make sure your air filter has plenty of filter oil, and you have a fuel filter, less crap in the engine the longer the life.

To clear the flood take out the glow plug and pull the starter a few times and it will be all set!

To make it easier to start, put the glow plug in, the back it off 1/4 turn to allow it to release some of the compression. Once it's running, tighten it back up. You should only need to do this for the first few tanks if at all.

I never did it, but I'm a horse when it comes to most things and I tend to break them. I broke a pull start once. Ripped the guts right out of it. If I would have tried the 1/4 turn on the plug, it may have prevented that.

Sorry for my poop grammar I'll try better next time.

Does that look good? JK, sorry

that's better lol. from what it looks like you were saying up there it's probably just your glow ignitor/glow plug giving you grief. usually the rtr stuff that comes with a car is crap. start of with your own stuff (ie glow ignitor, starter box (if applies), etc) and you'll have a lot less trouble.

also, don't get down on yourself during the break-in, it's normal for the buggy to run like crap
