it sounds like that what you were holding up in your previous pic is a form of single pad slipper clutch that i am not familiar with. Was that piece you were holding the one you mention here mounting to your spur gear? If that is the case look closely at the washers...crap, lol..i clicked reply instead of quick post and now can't see your last post. if you said spring, then you simply need to have adjusted the nut tighter. If you have washers between the nut and plate, then look close at them, they should not be flat washers but spring washers. they should have a mild cone shape to them and if they do, they should be set with the cone cupping toward each other. They are more sensitive than an actual spring to the adjuster nut but you'll figure it out.

yea when i took those pics i have installed it wrong. i ended up finding the other part under my bed after putting the entire rc back together. now i got the cone shape washer like you were talking about plus a washer i believe. I'm thinking it was my main clutch that was causgin the probs cuz like ya said there is suppose to be a good bit of rubber before the spring and on mine they are flush with each other. I'm going to order one tonight

Yep that is a single pad slipper clutch. Bet you swapped out the stock plastic slipper for a aluminum one, didn't you. No wonder I didn't recognize it. So disregard my previous post about the slipper pads--you ain't got none! ;)

I agree with the CPT. and his assessment of the washer cones. That setup is VERY hard to tweak. Post the picture #6 that you sent me here so the rest of the guys can see your setup.

I am going out on a limb here to say that, if it were me, I would go back to the original slipper setup. But, that's just me, and I like things nice and easy!

actually no i havent changed a thing on it. I've replaced a few things on it but no mods. that was the clutch that came with it. and which pic are you talking about

sounds like you had a bagful of issues but seem to have them worked out now. I thank you for your post, while helping you i learned something new as well. be sure to follow up this post once you get it all back together and running right.

RC, did you forget what clutch you had on that? :p:

I didn't have it long. I had just gotten it running and the brakes working when Kbig joined the site. I sure don't remember that slipper on there, though!

thanks for the help. and i will def let ya know how it goes after i get everything back together. I'm sure i will have more questions about something i broke on my mini track. i have 3 doubles and one is a high speed double that i have a feeling is going to cause some cartwheels haha. thanks everyone

and oh btw rc addict i know the mt looks a lil dirty right now but dont worry i take good care of it i just dont have the air compressor right now. usually i have it spotless and checked after every run. just figured ill let you know lol

screw clean....beat the snot out of it and put it away with a smile on your face each time you run it. If you break it, have fun breaking it. Have fun getting it dirty.......just have fun. When it breaks...have fun fixing it. If you don't enjoy both then clean it and put it on a shelf.
