I suggest converting all your packs and the charger to deans so it is easy to charge and put into your car again. My brother just got a Duratrax Peak charger and converted it to deans. I am happy cuz i converted my rx pack to deans and now i can charge it in 13mins at 3 amps!!! instead of 24hrs  So yeah... I'm pretty happy with the deans lol.

Yay new charger... :eyes:

How do i plug my rx pack into the reciver if its deans?

Does your pack only have 1 connector? or 2? (one for charging and one for pluging into rx, or 1 for both)

My pack has an rx plug on the end, that i plug into the reciver and charger.

Dude WTF is that thig 178 bucks??????
look at the triton or the Duratrax ICE...I got an ICE a few months ago and it rocks...a lot of people get the triton too....that one will do your starter box battery too...nice long deep charge to make it last a month.....both of those run about 120 bucks and are pretty much an industry standard.......lot more people to ask the questions from on this site......

as for the plug ????
just get some dean's connectors and make your adapters...deans are real easy to solder to...just get some heat shrink and a heat gun to do the connectors like a pro

Ok i know how to make a deans. How do i plug a deans plug into a reciver?
Do i need to make a deans female jig thing? Where do i get rx pack wire?

I just cut all my old charger's ends off and made my own adapters for them to work on my charger...or I know you can get tamiya to RX adapters and then cut that and make a deans one....

Ya i know how to make it work with the charger. I just get a couple banna clips and wire and make a jig. But how do i plug my deans plug into the rc car reciver to use as in rx pack if it has a deans on it?

Maybe you can put the adapter that you have on your pack right now (that you plug into your rx) and then get some wire and solder it onto the adapter, then put a female deans onto that wire so that you can connect the male deans into that (which will be on your pack) so it can connect to the reciever. My only worry is that it will be VERY hard to solder the wires into the adapter (that goe sinto the rx) because the holes that the wires go into are soo small. (I just came up with this idea 2 seconds ago and i just taught myself that i dont need a pack with 2 different wires :) )

I never change my Rx pack plugs....no need to...what I meant was convert the Charger to the deans connector then make all your adapters to fit the ignitor and RX packs convert from deans to whatever they use...you can change your Rx pack to deans but then you have to change the switch plug to deans as well....what if you're running w/ friends and your pack dies...buddy A says "I have one you can Use" but OOOOOOOO crap he didn't convert to deans....don't convert your packs just the charger......you can keep the amiya connector if all you do is charge Rx packs but then you are getting alot of charger to do that.....do you have any electric that take 6 cell packs as well? I discharge my RX packs at 1.2 amp and can charge em .25 to 1 amp...the lower the current on the charge the longer the packs last.......

My point is you can't plug a deans into a reciver. You have to have a wire lead with a reciver end then to a male deans. Plug the rx pack with female deans into the jig. I can't find the reciver pack wire.
