Nice! I wanted The Fox buggy so bad when it came out. What are your plans for a body?

Me too m8 . I have a new nova fox body I'm going to paint and decal and run and keep the original as is I think

As far as Tamiya stuff went, The Fox was the duck’s nuts back in the mid-80’s for sure.. I don’t think I knew a single kid at the track that did lust after that thing..

We ran a NASTY (believe it or not) Hornet in “The Tamiya Class”, and literally cleaned house every outing.. It wasn’t even CLOSE to fair for anyone else.. Was just hilarious that one of the lowest rungs on the ladder absolutely ruled the class.. When we got out of it, we passed on our secrets to another guy with a Hornet, and I’m sure he legit took over at that point.. Would’ve been about impossible for him not to have..

I ran a highly modified RC10 on a custom Composite Craft graphite chassis, Team Pit Stop chain drive transmission, hand wound Revtech core, Novak ESC, matched red cell Sanyo SCR, Andy’s long arms, McAllister lay down front end, etc.. We had guys there with Dominator back-halved, RC10 front ends on G10 chassis’ that had problems with that one.. 40yr old dudes with endless loot didn’t enjoy having their asses handed to them on a regular basis by an 8yr old with an Associated “buggy”..

I went from Tamiya to TA to Kyosho to Schumacher, was wild that I have none of them, but never had a fox, so it's cool that I have them now (no Schumacher yet). Do you still have any of your old rigs? Thanks too

An RC10ish body I think.
The stock Fox body in blue and silver was and still is perfect. No 'upgrade' needed!

Yep! I will save the silver bullet body but the fox will run this novafox body while I have her!

Also, got the vintage Imperial Ulitma today and went through it and staged now above the bone stock Vintage Ultima just below her on the shelf!

The rcgods are digging me for some reason these days Mike lol This one I found on ebay for $160, it's setup for 2s lipo with a newer modeified motor and nice speed control, has the original Ultima Manual as well. Will have to show a pic of the vintage unbuilt turbo optima, with vintage gold option house upgraded (still in the blister packs).
