Got a steering servo from powerplusproservos.com and when I plug it into the reciever, it does nothing.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Either you plugged it in backwards and smoked it already, or smoked the receiver, or the receiver was bad and you didn't need a servo in first place.

If you cuold give us some more information like why you're replacing the servo and things like that, it would help a lot. So we can trace down the problem. Did your receiver get wet or anything?

Man that site looks like its ripping people off to me. Must be a relabeled MG995. http://www.nitroplanes.com/55dircsew11t.html

Well I broke the gear shaft on my stock one, and since it was a 2070, no local shops had parts. So I ordered that one and then found a gear set online and ordered it. I figured I might as well use the servo with metal gears rather than just keep breaking the plastic ones.

Anyway, I changed the batteries in my receiver and it works now, but if it's sitting still and I turn right, the servo turns the turnbuckles, but the wheels barely move. I haven't actually tried driving it yet though. If it doesn't turn worth a crap, I'm just going to fix my stock servo and use it.

It sounds like you have something too tight thats binding in the steering system, or something like that. Did the servo saver get damaged? How does the servo work when its not hooked up to the steering.

If that new servo thats twice as strong as the old one isn't pushing the tires, I don't see how the stock one will.

I actually got it going today and it works pretty well. It just seems to sometimes not respond right away when I first start driving the truck. But it's doing the job.
