Starting problem with rotastart

Hi new owb fitted rotastart checked the handset that controls the rotastart is working But when I try to start car it just spins on the shaft making a zzzzzzzzz sound not a clacking sound it's a hpi firestorm

The owb is installed backward?

I have a Firestorm and have taken the engine apart, I don't think the G3.0 has such a setup

From the above comment with collar / screws holding it on.

If you take the owb off and put it on the other way does it do anything differently?

Hi took off heatsink where do the 3 brass shims go on top of the engine I can't remember thanks

You can download the exploded view diagram from the HPI site but as a quick answer I'm sure that the three shims go under the part that holds the glow plug and then the head holds it all down.
