Yea i actually live really close to some woods with trails and little creeks and stuff like that, so mabey the scx10 wold be better.?

If you like to hike more than anything, the SCX10 would be like your dog on the trail.

Personally, I will go hiking, I take the truck with and it goes everywhere I go plus some. Decent travel speeds mean I dont have to put alot of effort into the hike.

But, its super awesome fun!

Yea, i think I'm leaning more towrds the scx10 honcho just because i think thell be better for what all use it for. also, theres a ton of aftermarket stuff and alot of customization.

scx10 gets my vote:thumbup:

I've had a ax10 and scx10 and the scx10 was alot of fun to build and run but I'm just giving u full warning once u get a scaler its addicting :D

Scaler upgrades are like Potato chips, you can't do just one.....

The SCX-10 actually comes with beadlocks. I'd say go with a good brushless/esc setup and a high capacity LiPo battery. As far as upgrades go, I haven't done any. I haven't broken anything on it, yet.

Wait...the 2012 model doesn't have beadlocks does it? I thougt thew were glued?http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/scx10_honcho/index.html.

Also, the brushless system and stuff would be nice:D, but prob to expensive right now lol. I have a few 4000mah 2s lipos, will that work for long run-times?(with stock electronics) Thanks guys

You look to be right about the wheels, I'd just run them till there worn out and then pick up new tires and wheels then, as for the batteries you have they will more then likely work and with the 27 turn motor it comes with it should have decent wheel speed, I myself plan on going up to a 5000mah 3 cell lipo for my scaler.

I run a 5000 2s in my truck an it last a while

Id say just run it stock an upgrade as stuff breaks

I dodnt even worry about Lipos in these rigs, your going slow alot of the time. I run 5000mah 6pack nimh (2 packs) and I get at least 3 hours of run time on the trails.
