Standing inline for PS3

I think i'll be standing inline for a PS3 next thursday, but i was just seeing if anyone else was and what time you all were gettin up there and what not. I think I'm also gettin some friends to stand inline with me so i can give them money to pay for one and then ebay will be a good friend too me. YAY :x

I was just going to buy as many as I could get on the plastic LOL I don't have any friday class so I have nothing to wake up for on friday

I want one... but I will do the same thing I did when the PS2 came out.... I will wait 6 months until I can walk into any WalMart, BestBuy, or the like and walk out with one. All this waiting in line to be the first one to have one on my street is for the birds. I guess when I was younger I would have, but now that I have the means to wait.... I think I am better off.

Not to mention trying to get one on Ebay for some off the wall jacked up price is just plain stupid. I am not saying you guys are going to jack the price up, but most people do and I think it is just plain wrong. IMO of course! Good luck waiting in line next week... I hope you get what you are after!

I won't be buying the PS3 at all. I don't see a reason too since I have the 360 and will also have the Wii for the kids.

IMO the PS3 is way overpriced. They should have left the blueray player out and dropped the price. How may people are really going to use their game system to play movies no matter what the format. I also believe the blueray will go the way of beta. Sony has history in going against the grain and failing no matter how much better the technology is.

I agree Robmob, I wish they had left the blueray player out of it as well and lowered the price. I was originally going to get a PS3, because I really like the game support on my ps2 over the xbox, but after seeing the price I am thinking xbox 360. No way would I stand in line to buy a game, or pay double for it on epay! If I do get one it will be next year when they come down to a reasonable price.

I agree with you there... if you make a profit.... it is the american way. I just think it is wrong to take advantage of some idiots need for the latest and greatest toy!

But... on that note, I guess if you are dumb enough to spend the money.... I just couldn't do it though. I would have a guilty concious knowing that really I just ripped someone off.

I could do it with a very clear conscience, they know they are paying double and sometimes triple for it so not exactly a rip off IMO.

I'm not saying that you would be ripping someone off without them knowing it... I am just saying that me personally know that they could get it cheaper and I would feel guilty... becausing knowing or not knowing you are getting ripped off..... you are still getting ripped off.

Same here...I only missed the presale deposit by one day before they were sold out. I was planning to flip it on ebay for some extra R/C cash. Oh well another wave missed.

On another note and totally off topic...I did get in for 2 tickets to UFC 66. Woohoo!!

I'm just fine with my PS2 and XBOX, frankly. My kid's play it more than I do anyway and I'm trying to get them OUT of the house to play rather than vegging out in front of the video console all the time!

Naw MW i think you are on to something. I mean I'm only 20 but i know too many people that sit and veg out in front of the tv and computer and not play outside or play a sport or do something physical. all the kids are too damn lazy to do anything any more. half the people i know prob couldn't even run a freakin mile without stopping bc the are out of shape or just don't give a rats ass. well enough of this soap box.
