:hehe::wasted: my bad guys just got back from wing nite and I'm a pretty buzzed. here i fixed it

i talk to my hobby shop today and they said to go with rustler because its the same suspension as the pede, so the clearance in the grass and stuff wouldnt matter, b/c i figured the truck in thick grass being elec. it would bog it down and run the battery down quicker. and they also said pede is a wheelie machine

May be the same suspension but the tire diameter is WAY different. If you want to run in grass stay away from the Rustler.

thats what i thought but we were lookin thru the traxxas catalog and he said he liked the rustler better because it was different. i was surprised especially because he's a big ford guy like me so i figured he would like the body of the stampede because its more "street like"

I wonder what a Rustler body would look like on the Stampede...

Most important thing is that he get what he likes!

if your going to buy the rusty start buying a arms and rear shock tower and metal drive cups. i break my rear shock tower every time i drive it

so which do u guys think is the best one. I'm hearing more people just talk about the rustler, good and bad, more bad tho. i live on 5 acres but 90% of its grass (till spring when my brother brings over a bobcat from work so we can build a track) kinda thick even now in december. i notice that my maxx isn't even as fast in it. he will be driving more here then at his own house

All things being equal I would opt for more ground clearance. The Stampede can always be modded into a Rustler with the stadium wheels and tires and the Rustler body if your son gets tired of the monster look.

my sons first truck was a duratrax evader st fast for what it is. duratrax has a 1 yr parts breakage plan any plactic part that breaks they replace free. in the first yr i think i built 2 trucks.

well guys i got him the pede' i got for 177 out the door. he was speechless when i told him it was his

Wow! Where do you live that Christmas already came? :D

:hehe: i didnt want him to open in front of his other cousins. cody helps me out alot with anything and we are preety close, and my other cousins i hardly see. so i just gave it to him early
