Is there an easier way of adjusting the motor so that it doesn't wear out the spur gear? I'm trying to do that at the moment on my Rage, i have done it lots of times before but i also have gone through many spur gears.

Bash, Fix, Repeat..
most people use the paper setup. smash a peice of notebook paper in there and tighten it up then roll the paper out. i just get a feel or it. you can hold one gear still and you should be able to just wiggle the other. not much play at all, but it should spin freely
