I had my Rustler out Saturday and I noticed the spur gear was wobbling around almost like it is bent...I havent had time to pull it down and take a look at it. The nut and spring look tight....

What kind of a Rustler is it? My old Maxx did that cuz the little red pieces in the spur gear were not put in perfectly straight. I figured when I strip the spur gear I'll fix it, and it never happened

How much is it wobbling? My savage is almost impossible to get the spur not to wobble. My rc10gt also wobbles a little but not much. I think its the imperfections in the mold when they make the gears. Or the fact that the spring is not exactly flat on both ends...

It seems to be alot....I just replaced it so maybe i didnt get the pin in one side....I have never had a problem like this before, but i may have been in a hurry when i to the new gear on it, I just gotta find time to look at it...I didnt set the alarm at work until 6:00pm and got home aorund 7....I got a meeting tomorrow night with all the big wigs and i forsee us leaving around 7

Thanks for the input, i will keep you posted

There's a lot of torque that's put in that little plastic gear. I've noticed that some distort over time and develop a less-then-true shape..... like a potato chip.

Associated T3's are worse, as overtightening the 2 mounting bolts can distort the plastic as well......

Yeah thats what this one looks like....maybe its a bad spur, we'll see this weekend if i got time to mess with it

i doubt it's bad, my t-maxx has done that since new, and it still works just fine. after 3 gal.

The problem started after i put the new gear in....now that i think of it was taking alot of gas to get it going
