Can you spray realfire using faskolor? Most how to's on youtube talk about Spazstix. I havent sprayed too much yet and everything I have done has been with waterbase. Does laquer spray similar to waterbase or is it a different beast? I have read the stickies for realfire but was lookin for more input. Thanx all

As far as I know it needs to be a paint the is transluscent and require light backing to show it's true shade. I don't think any of the Fascolors are like that.

Here's a Parma paint that I used on my RC18t Hot Rod flames and it's translucent:

There's a sticky by NCNitro on top of the body shop forum detailing the how to method. He's the best I've ever seen when it comes to real fire.

I've got a few of the translucent colors by parma and they spray easily. Just needs to be light coats until theres full coverage and than a good backing.

Read it a few times but again he was using the Spaz stix paint which I hear is very good but I was curious if I could pull it off with the Faskolor in place of it. My LHS stocks some Faskolor but no Spaz stix. I could ebay but just tryin to support the local businesses a little.

I totally agree with supporting the locals, but if they don't have what you need you only create problems with your project.
It seems everyone including my local art supply carries the water based, but finally my local hobby shop got the full rack of spaz stix after I bugged them about chrome for several years.
Ask them if any of their suppliers carry it. If so, they can get it included in the next order and call you when it comes in. That's what HobbyTown USA does for me. It doesn't matter what parts I need.
There's just no way to do the real fire without the right paint.
