Hey guys decided to pull the trigger on it. I have many arrma cars and figured it would be nice to have one controller instead of 9... that being said it's compatible with most of the recievers like SR315 and new right? Just need them to bind? I'll be able to program bunch of cars and tune some stuff right? Still fairly new to rc cars and had a flysky I found hard to get used to and got a dumborc one which was nice but I just have so many arrma cars felt like best choice any advice or thoughts to help me out?

Did you get it directly from horizon or some other retailer? Current status is that HH discontinued the iSXR. @CJSRCLIFE has been wanting one though.

Looks like a great radio but the whole android thing with it seems unnecessary imo and a bit on the pricey side.

Other great remotes:
Flysky NB4 Plus
Radiomaster MT12 (with 4in1 multiprotocol, can work with spektrum but last time I heard they are still improving the dsmr and SLT protocols in the radio)

Or if wanting in the same price range as the iSXR,
Flysky NB4 Pro Plus
Futaba 7PX/R (second hand)
Futaba 10PX
Sanwa M17

Awh man so that may have not been good buy? I like the look the fact that could link like all my cars since already spektrum everything. But I suppose could return it and see what better options would be. Just liked that one

You can still keep it. Radio will keep working fine as intended. Haven't read the whole thread but they'll probably release a new iSXR in the future and keep supporting the platform.

Gotcha. I'll see use it and see if I like it enough or if there are issues with it.

I can agree with some of those options but with the others you actually pay more since you have to take into account that you would need for example the 7PXR\10PX as well as the M17\M17S you would need a case and an insert. With the Futaba's you'd also need a rechargeable battery since i know from my 4PM that using AA's are horrible they don't last. The iXSR does come packaged with a case and also comes with 10,500Mah 1s lithium ion battery preinstalled and can be charged through USB-C. Which imo the Futaba are at least 2 - 3 years behind compared to the NB4+, NB4 Pro, iXSR and the newest M17S.

From what i've seen online and @RBRC has experienced with his these seem to be an awesome radio. Although i'll say if you're getting into Spektrum from another company and you currently have no receivers from them like i did. If you see the obnoxiously high receiver prices through Amain and Horizon are currently charging due to current events in our world. Check eBay and Amazon they're currently selling those receivers at a lower rate from either new never run RTR's or NIB ones that are still at their older prices. That's a good solid way to get receivers for less than again what Amain and Horizon Hobby are currently charging. Hope your radio meets or exceeds your expectations i'm hoping to get mine once the new version comes but for now i'll be saving up my $$$ for it.

iXSR can bind up to any RC with a Spektrum RX in it.

If you have a ton of rigs like that, and can swing the $700 check, then a iXSR is a good choice. Wouldn't be my first choice, but still a good one.
It's kinda silly but tired of having issues binding and having like 9 controllers. Is tuneable? Like for a drift car? I know futaba may have been better option for drift but currently only have one drift car and mainly bashers

It sure is, It can be tuned to work in a lot of different applications i saw one guy use an iXSR for a drift car and it performed great. I have a DX6C which is probably all i'll need for bashing applications but i want the iXSR to be the only radio i'll ever need\use for a long time. Hope this helps.

I purchased mine when it was on sale, I have it bound to serval vehicles and a pro-moto with no issues. I really like it, set up is a breeze! After I saw it was discontinued I reached out to HH/Spektrum about future support and was told it will be supported.

I hope to get mine someday as you know once the new one comes out i can't wait. Next month i will start saving up for it to hopefully have by August or October. I hope yours serves you well for years to come they sure have come a long way since the old DX6R which was the iXSR's predecessor.

Went with the spektrum ixsr even tho discontinued basically all my cars are arrma so makes sense to go that route just need couple more receivers
