spektrum 2.0 range sucks...

yeap i seem not to get a good range on this radio...why??

my reciver batts are full charge and my radio batts are new..also my antenna is fully strait out..

200$ for this and range sucks..any way to get this to go a bit out more range?

i have a futaba 2pl and it cost like 90$ and i get better range..well i guess its time to swap it back to my futaba..

what a waste of money..i tot this 2.0 spektrum was a good update but seems like not..:\

I would call up Horizon's tech support and chat with them, you should get MUCH better range and if not there is a problem with it. Their tech support and warranty service is pretty darn good.

i can call them even thoe i didnt buy it from horizon hobby.. i got it at my local hobby shop..

ABSOLUTELY! Its made by horizon and therefore they take care of the support, give it a shot. I've had great luck with them replacing servos.

well I'm using hitec servos and the traxxas batts instead of the 4 aaa batts have to do anything with it?

Try a better battery pack, the traxxas 1100 packs are not that great of quality. Spektrum receivers are very sensitive to battery pack condition. They neeed a good quality 1200mah or higher pack. I know the mah rating is for runtime, but the higher rated packs offer better voltage as well usually.

also do you think that rebinding it will fix that kind of isue? i have not got the time to test the range after rebinding to the radio to recviver..

now for the batt what do i need to buy? as in brand? i do have the traxxas charger that it came with so that means i have to get a traxxas batt or any batts will work just not lipos..

recommand me a batt that will work with my traxxas charger..

It's time to upgrade your charger. If you stay in this hobby it is a must do thing.
Those Traxxas chargers do not work well either.
I use the Orion 1600mah packs in both my monsters. They are 29 bucks at my LHS, so expect to pay around that much. My LHS loves to price gouge.....another story. Anyways

I have had good luck with my Dynamite charger. It will charge your stick packs and receiver packs so much quicker, and better. You'll notice your servos reacting faster and with more torque. The above charger is just a suggestion.
