IDK, are you looking at XXLs on Ebay? I'm assuming so since there is one up there with an engine compression gauge in it lol....there are a few used ones on there that appear to be in pretty good shape overall.

I have a brand new Roller I'm putting together to sell right now if you're interested. and I have a lightly used OS .30VG engine I'm selling too. The OS even has a roto start plate on the back of it and I can throw in the spin start shaft but I dont have the roto start box so you would either have to get one or use a cordless drill. I'll throw in a brand new cooling head for the engine since the other one has a few dings on it. The engine has between 1.5-2 gallons through it. The only thing it wouldnt have is the TX/RX which can be found on ebay for less than $200 bucks. If its something you really want. Just thought Id throw it out there. I basically ended up with so many spare parts for my XXL and LST2 I decided I didnt need them all and thought Id build another XXL roller and sell it. :)

As for your other question, If you just can't wait Id probably look at getting a Savage if you want a monster truck or maybe look at the Losi 8ight T truggy.

Not sure what u mean by roller. Not familiar w/motor either. Tx/rx is transmitter/receiver right.
Idk. Ill wait a little bit. What ate you wanting for all. You can post as private message to avoid
Conflict. Send pix as well. Go from there.

Grey, i misread your post sorry. I may be interested in your xxl w/ motor. Post pix and price. Go from there. Thanks.

The roller isnt built yet. I just started building it out of spare parts I have for my other 2. It will be all new parts. A roller is basically the kit minus electronics and an engine. I also hadnt really thought far enough ahead as to what i was going to ask for it since I've only just begun to put it together. Let me give it some thought tonight and I'll let you know tomorrow. I will also post up pics of the engine at the same time along with what I'll be asking for it. the only thing you would need for it if you bought the roller and my engine. would be a TX/RX. I have some servos I throw in it. They arent high quality but theyre a wee bit better than the stock servos. The Servos are brand new as well. Let me get it all figured out in my head and I'll get back to ya.

Technically it wont come with a manual, I'm not sure If I have a full decal sheet for itbut I'll send what I do have, and any other tid bits like the little crappy allen wrenchs and stuff that you would normally get with a NIB kit wont be there either but most people dont use that stuff anyway and the manual you can download off the internet.

My lhs said they are to be back in stock dec. 5-7. Waiting for then. Was going to put one on backorder
But I'm not going to wait for months. Want to keep options open a little. Xxl is the way to go. In my
opinion. But if i find a truck equal to i may get it.

Anyone have news on xxl yet? How does the mgt 8.0 compare to xxl or savy xl?
Might as well get info on a second choice if xxl falls through.
I sure could build 1 bad tmaxx with $6-700. Since i have 1 that needs a motor and
A little attn. Hmmmm again.

Please dont leave me now supporters. This thread is going good lets not stop now. You are answering
My questions and anyone else who wants a big bad beast to race or bash.

From what I've heard, the MGT's have pretty weak diffs and the stock 8.0 engine isn't anything to brag about. Plus, parts are becoming harder to find.

The MGT is a good rig but the problem with it is much like the Tmaxx is it takes alot of hop ups to make em tough. My back up to the XXL would be the savage.

IMO you were on the right track with the XXL. Like Greywolf said your backup choice should be a Savvy. Just my :2cents:

I've never owned a traxxas vehicle, I've driven em and seen other people with em.. but their off road bashers would always break b4 my savvy did. As far as associated I made the mistake of buying on of their old mgt models a while back as it was being discontinued. I never really liked the ae from the get go, it didnt really have handling nor bashability, I'd seen revos take more abuse. Then I got this LST2 and its the perfect mix for me. normally I'm just a hardcore basher, but when I found a local off road indoor track I knew I had to build a MT for it, and since they dont allow nitro i went brushless. The LST/LST2/muggy/aftershock/xxl is a fun and easy platform to work on, and it is definitely track worthy with minimal upgrades, and is bashable out of the box.

The savage x/XL is a serious basher, but takes a decent amount of money to make it track worthy. I go on to further say most tracks by me have absolutely no monster truck class, but to help your driving skills its always nice to goto the track on non race days and brush up on your driving.

So which one you buy is personal preference, but if you want something track worthy its really between revo and the xxl or lst2. If you want a basher its between the savage x/xl line or the XXL/LST2.

Now I went brushless with my LST2 build because I wanted a setup not too many people would be running. by me most people run savage flux's. I am in no way saying one is better than the other, I just wanted something that was proven, yet not mainstream.

Wow.. Thanks a lot ti all... Do they stil make lst2? Id like the xxl but savy lookn good as well.

If i go the savy route should i get the x or xl? My thoughts are bigger is better!! From what I've read
The k-5.9 is not a good motor. The4.6 is the way to go. I looked at the losi 8 t truggy a" beast".
Only thing i didnt like is the single speed tranny. Once again your feedback is needed and appreciated.

The Losi 8ight T is gonna be fast even with a single speed center diff. if your just bashing I'm sure you could find a little bit bigger clutch bell and give it even more top end. The engine that it comes with is one that I believe (Double check with him on this) is one that is worth having Robin mod for even more power. The HPI 5.9 and the 4.6s I believe are not worth modding. Couple an ERCM engine mod with one of his tuned pipes and it will probably be a monster.

As for the Savvy, Id have a hard time saying cuz I've never owned an XL but if you get an X I would get the X SS kit instead of the X RTR as the kit has some hop ups included in it. How ever if you need a TX/RX and that kind of thing you may want to get the the RTR. The do like the fact that the XL is bigger but the X is not exactly small. Being used to my XXL and my lST2-E though I think I will convert my X into an XL one of these days.

Great info greywolf74.have been a great help as all others. Xxl says almost 50mph. I was told by many
All boxed rtr nitro 4x4 mt will get you 30-40 max. Is this true. I also was told to c robin for mods from another post .if u have been reading this thread you know what I'm lookng for. Is the truggy the eay to go or wait fir xxl if ever.. thanks for your input.

I will probley get slammed for this, but revo out of the box is junk.lots of money and parts to make it bullet proof.I would know,I got close to $2,000 in mine.Go with the Losi 8ight,or the Mgt 8.0.I noticed in the forums, guys don't like the 8.0 engine.I am the total opposite.I had mine modded with the extreme mod.And yes I tried all other engines. For me that thing is my favorite rig, like it is on a 3 day crack binge when bashing.

Truggies are fun as hell.I have an HPI Trophy tuggy right now with an LRP.28 with the extreme mod,all stock, except the engine and steering servo.Just picked up an LOSI 8IGHT.Gonna get Robin to do the extreme mod, once i find my engine.
