Here is my second attempt at airbrushing. With as simple as it is I could have done it with a rattle can. :opps: I fubared a section on the roof and had a few bleeders, but I'm going to take it as a learning experience for next time. The Spaz mask was difficult to remove from the sheet, and applying it to the body was also a pain in the rear. If you didn't get it right on the first shot, the adhesive lost it's stickiness and that's where my bleeders came in.

Let me know what you think.

Thats awesome SD!!! No bleeds at all!!! I just got my airbrush and put the first coat of mask on. Its almost scary how much easier it is to spray the mask on instead of brushing it. You save a BUNCH too!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Buggyracer I have two bottles of liquid mask just waiting to be used. Some of the bob dively and parma. I just couldn't figure out a design so I went with the precut mask. Do I need to thin it out before spraying it or just straight from the bottle? The dively stuff looks really thick.

Well, I used the Hobbico stuff cuz my hobby shop doesn't carry BD's, and i tried it straight from the bottle and that didnt work, so I thinned it out to the consistency of milk, and that seemed to work perfectly. I used 35-40psi for the mask. I didnt want to thin it out anymore because it wouldnt serve its purpose as well as being thicker.

I'm not using window masks... forgot to put them on before putting my first coat on, but at least now I can really see where I need to outline the windows.

I likes I likes!!!! Its clean. Brings a clean tribal look. Nice rig too...

I would avoid spraying the Liquid Mask. It's really just as easy to paint it on with a foam brush. That stuff is not fun to get out of an airbrush. If you do choose to spray it, yes, you do need to thin it out with water in order to get the right consistency.
Good luck..

Really??? I thought it was so much easier... Just have to let it start going through the tube and out the brush, then you're fine. (ready to paint my first coat mwahaha, too bad I have absolutely no idea what colors I'm using haha)

Hey SD..Looks nice. I can't see where you had the problem. I'll be shipping down the crowd pleazer for you in a few days....Get right on it, would ya!:hehe: Just joking with ya bro! With everything else going on in the next month, you won't even have time to get your pleazer out of the box to just look at it.
