First off, what is a pinion gear? Is it another name for the gear on a clutch bell?

What is the stock 1st and 2nd gear ratios of an older .15 t-maxx?

I'm going to be using the new Traxxas 3.3 engine on my .15 t-maxx.. Should I change any of the internal transmission 1st/2nd gearing to work better with the new 3.3 engine?

And finally I just upgraded my .15 t-maxx to the 3.3 specs using and I'm using the 3.3 engine, battery/receiver boxes, wide 3.3 arms, ect.. Would it benefit me any to try and sell my t-maxx and get the new 3.3 t-maxx brand new? If so how much does anything think I can get for my t-maxx beings that the engine is brand new and also has a brand new battery/receiver boxes, fuel tank, .15 to 2.5 conversion kit, and wide 3.3 arms?

Sorry if my questions jump all over the place, I'm just thinking about alot of stuff..

I'm sure we could look up the literal definition of "pinion" but basically the pinion is the drive gear.. the gear that is transmitting the energy. A pinion gear would be the gear that is directly attached to an electric motor's shaft. It is also the gear that drives the ring gear of a differential. Given my lamens definitions, a clutch bell could be considered to be a pinion as well.

A pinion gear is also similar to the clutch bell on an electric RC. You don't have a clutch on an electric rear, so the pinion gear attaches to the output shaft on the motor and meshes with the spur gear, just like the clutch bell on a nitro.

You're going to need to upgrade to a 3.3 tranny or you'll be slinging parts all over the yard in no time.

I had the old Classic .15 pro T-maxx and put the OS.21 motor in it and drove it around for almost a year with no problems, I then pulled that engine out and put it in my new 4908 T-max and now have the 3.3 in the old t-maxx
