Originally I had brought my bosses tmaxx home (which I sold to him) to try and fix it since he stripped the manifold bolts, so I bought it baCK into work today and we were screwing around with it when the new assistant manager shows up and says "oh you guys are into that stuff too? i have a bunch of old stuff at home if you want it..

he said old, so naturally I figured grasshopper old. but we asked him to bring it in anyway, so he comes back from lunch and says he has the stuff here.. we take a walk out to his truck

turns out he has a savage, storm 18th buggy, and a nitro rs4..

so I looked everything over and it all seemed to be in check, the savage has a .25, the buggy has a .21, and the rs4 has a .15 (none of which are the stock motors), so as I was looking them over, all 3 are decked with integy shocks, aluminum arms, cvds, shock towers, ect ect..)

at this point I was amazed at how much he had for not knowing anything about rc's, but he had gotten them through UHaul (he was a manager there and got to raid storage sheds that people stopped paying for..)

so, I asked him how much and he told me $275 for all 3 :OMG:
sold.

so my stepdad and I got them home, and turns out the savage and buggy run fine, they both started with 3 pulls after sitting for over a year without being touched.

now, my only dilemma is: how the hell do you start the rs4?

there is no pullstart on it, so I'm assuming that it has to be bump started.. can anyone recommend a good bump starter? the rs4 has an os.15 in it, other than that I can't tell you anything since I havent taken them apart yet..

but all in all, 3 rc's added to my collection for what I could make $1500 off of.
:fro:

Talk about SCORE.

Without a picture, I'd have to say it's possible that the RS4 might be a bump start. Could you post a picture of the back end of the engine (sized to 800x600)?

Also, just to be safe, as you don't know the history of these engines, you might want to do a 'mini break in', especially if you're running on your favorite type of fuel.

wow, great deal. my guess would be to use a bump start. I'm not familiar with the rs4, but I would personally install a pullstart or rotostart.

Yeah we Just ran the engines for about a half hour each, We dont have radios for them yet, but they came with a bunch of random parts that dont even go to any of the vehicles (hello ebay), I'm gonna get some python radios that I used to use when I raced my electric rs4 and tc3, they worked good so Ill stick with what works, and on ebay now they're like $20.

It was definetly a good find, I feel like I kind of screwed the guy, but hey-he named the price.

Nice find on the great deal. When i had an older RS4 i used the ofna pink universal starter box.

thanks - ill look into getting one.. cause the only way this will start is with a starter box :P and I'm sure itll be damn fast since i had an electric pancar that went 50+ with a 4turn mod
