smoke fluid for airplanes?

does any one know of any good ways to make liquid smoke for the nitro engines on the airplanes? I've only heard of one, 3 parts diesel fuel 1 part automatic transmission oil for cars. thnx!

I think most flyers use an injection system and smoke fluid to produce theirs. Tower Hobbies has a fair number of smoke systems.

yes, i know how to set up a smoke system, I've heard of people using diff materials to make liquid smoke so they dont have to buy it from the store, so does any1 know of ways to make smoke fluid!?

Don't forget you'll have to clean it off. Nitro is bad enough without adding diesel fuel and tranny fluid. Sounds like a hell of a mess.

Are the store bought ones messy?

Store bought fluids aren't no more of a mess than the nitro goo from the exhaust, at least from my experience they not. I dont know of a way to make "homemade" smoke fluid...not too sure I'd try either...but thats just me..
