I LOVE the scale looks of these trucks, but I HATE that they are only Toyota and Ford bodies. If they had a newer GMC or Chevy body I'd be all over this. Either way I can't wait to see your build log of the truck!

Do you mean during the build or after? I have built a few Tamiya kits and they can be a pain but should I expect problems once it's built?

If a Chevy/GMC body would have been an option I would have took it in a Heartbeat!


I thought about getting the Hilux Yota but IMO they look better on 2.2's and I'm not interested in modding it or running 2.2's...Plus there are soooo many of them out there already.

The tranny is a pain in the a$$ take your time if you rush the tranny build section you will have problems. I know that for a fact I have had 3 hilifts and 1 hilux.

Sweet kit man!!! I have been thinking about getting this one since I first saw the ad for it in XRC. Nice score my friend. I to have things eating through money right now... mostly Xmas related credit card debt.... and the new kitchen table my wife bought... and some other things I had to have now damn it! LOL

Can't wait to see the build thread. I drive an 06 Tacoma now, and would love to have the full sized version of that Tundra!
