Hey Guys,
I am torn between the Traxxas Slash and The HPI Blitz!!! I am leaning towards the Blitz because it is cheaper from what i have found. I really like the Slash but being 14 just can't afford one right now :(. can you guys give me some insight on both of these?
thanks much,
-Nick

Slash is a basher through and through. Blitz is more race oriented and doesn't take the pounding a slash will. The slash, takes such a beating that it is imo the most cost effective rc available.

Yes. I will always vote slash when it comes to a basher. If you were going to race and race only, then I would look into something else, but not the blitz.

also if you get waterproof and it breaks any electronic traxxas will stand by and probably replace it

Slash is much better for bashing and the blitz is much better for racing. Traxxas makes very durable vehicles. I have a rustler vxl and it's as tough as nails. I've heard of people who have had slashes for years and they only broke a couple of little parts. Remember all rc cars will break on you somehow. It's apart of the hobby, so remember to have your wallet ready at all times.

One more thing. DON'T get yourself mixed up with waterproof and water resistant. The Slash is NOT waterproof. It is water resistant. You can't submerge the Slash in water and expect it not to have problems.

Hoped that helped!:D

My preferance would be the Blitz. I have a friend of mine that pounds the crap out o fhis and its quite durable. I would say just as much if not more so than the Slash. Plus I do agree that the blitz is a better racer. Generally any race quality kit is going to be good for bashing too.

As for water proofing.....any kit can be made water resistant or even water proof quite easily if thats a big concern.
