one of the lipos turned up today , and well errm lets just say them new tyres i got the other day , can be used as slicks lol i need some paddles lol

I opend my tranny up and all it was was a bearing had blown apart pretty good!! replaced that and all good again!!!!! although something seems different about it now.. I still have the new tranny on its way... and yet my luck continues I blew the tranny in my jato!!! that one I was only seeing how much longer it was going to last.. cause the last person that had it beat on it really bad! I have been rotating my tires almost every other day to try and save as much tread as I can.. I want to get the set that comes on the vxl version.. if you look at the website for traxxas the vxl tread pattern is different so it might even be softer aswell. not sure though.. I think the paddles I have are the proline paddles I will check and let you know.

found some proline sling shot sct tyres will order them tommoro before i go to work and will fit them onto the new rims as the tyres are nearly gone lol , hopefully will be able to pull a wheelie then . how fast your jato go ? there supposed to be insane arent they ?

yeah it screams But no brakes so I can't open it up all the way.. As soon as I get it rebuilt I am going to use a gps to clock my collection one at a time.. can't wait to see the out come!!!!! I need to get a new set of paddles myself because I alternate them between the slash and the jato and that is alot of spinning!!! and some insane rooster tails!!

Although the classic maxx with the black tranny and the 3.3 has got to be close to the jato's speed.. gotta be I can't wait to clock them after I get the tune just right on each of them!!

whole new set of wheels and tyres on the way white ones :D , black rpm a arms , another lipo, and some stuff for the missus ..................... and the cat lol will post pics wen all is on.

I blew a tire apart today.. that sucked cause I have to use the beater set until the new ones can be orderd... that kinda sucks!!!

hope no one is expecting pics of the missus and the cat just read my last post lol

6 packs and the tyres are bald nearly lol need something abit more tuffer:angry: :D

what tread pattern is that?? I like the lites how do those work at night???? I am rigging up a set of lights.. blue in the front and red in the back... Yeah I can't keap tires together at all.. they keap blowing apart on me..

I really like the way those lights look. It has inspired me to add some to my own. I'm thinking headlights (definitely), tail lights (maybe), and something under-body (don't know what yet).

there called ansman claw . i will post a link for you when i get back from work , loads of grip off road , just dont take them on the road other wise they will look like that lol, yer them lights are pretty cool there was a strip of 5 on the front aswell but due to smashin and crashin there gone lol and in the dark they look frickin sweet REALLY really bright , a bargain at 8.99

nice I had put some lights on my e-maxx a couple months ago and I thought it was the cat a$$ that I was able to drive around at night without a problem. that was pretty cool!!!!

trying to get a vid of the lights but quality is crap on my phone will get a decent vid when i get a decent recorder [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7gQJfckxlg"]My Edited Video - YouTube[/ame]

EZ-run 60amp version2 with 5.5t motor on the way , what the hell will see what its like lol

I can tell you right now what it's like. Or at least what mine was like (my old slash had the exact same setup - EZrun 60A/5.5T). It SCREWED. It was fast as hell. The old tires I had on it ballooned a lot too, so that bumped up my top speed as well. The only thing I wish I had done was installed a larger ESC, maybe a 120A, but the 60 does work fine. It just got a little hot.

A word of caution - depending on your current gear setup, that motor/ESC may quit under certain conditions. Mostly: repeated rapid changes between direction (forward, reverse, forward, reverse....), repeated or prolonged high speed runs, and other stuff like that. Turning off and on the ESC would reset it and I would usually be fine again. The problem persisted in mine until I switched to a pinion gear that had fewer teeth.

Then again, I don't know what gears you're using, so you might be perfectly fine from the start. I'm not here to step on toes or anything, but if you do encounter a problem (I really hope you don't) you might be able to benefit from my troubles. Other than that, have fun with your new big-ass motor!

any info bud is GREATLY appreciated . I'm only on 2 cells at the mo and I'm currently running 19/90 but will order a suitable ratio wen its here wat ratio did you end up using ? and yer I'm fed up of going 28 mph flat out with my current set up which is why i went for the 6000kv set up lol , seen a couple vids on youtube and they look mental lol

Not exactly sure of the ratio I was using the the old slash - I probably still have the packaging somewhere at home, so I can check when I'm out of work.

Although, I just realized that I had the 4wd, and from the looks of the pictures, you have the 2wd. I don't exactly know how that would make a difference, but I think it's pretty obvious that it will. So who knows, it may work way better on yours from the start.

On a side note, I usually run 2s LiPos as well. I was at the plane field the other day, and we strapped a cell phone to the Slash and used it's GPS to record data for a few runs up and down the field. (I want to redo it later this week too, because the grass was a little wet and the tires were slipping). Even with the wet grass though, I recorded 30mph on a 50c 2s LiPo. Then we threw in a 3s a buddy had out of a plane (only 25c though) and did a few more runs. It peaked at about 40mph, so that one cell got me 33% more speed. I was planning on ordering some batteries anyways, so I'm probably going to pick up some 3s 40c gensacearespammers, and repeat those tests in the near future. No more 2s for me from now on though :D
