the best gearing I have found was from someone on this site and he suggested 23t pinion and 90t spur. helps with the top speed.. but My stepson is still running the stock gears in his and isnt having any problems with that but it comes with a 90t spur and a 23t pinion in the box so play around with different size gears and check temps until you find your fav. match.. although you will want dif gearing when you go brushless.. like i said with brushless I am running 23t pinion and 90t spur.. temps are fine without fans on my 2s 4100 lipo but with my 3s 5000 lipo I need fans because it just makes it ratical.. as soon as you drive that slash brushless you will have a hard time ever driving brushed again...
only got 12 days and think by wed.9 days till.. what color top did you order your slash with??? I am starting to get a few clear tops fo a few of my nitros and next is for the slash to make her personal..
and we will want pics.. slipper clutch is something to check and the pinion gear, wheel nuts, and shock scews ae a good place to start on the before run check.. you are going to be blown away on how much is not there with the slash, it is so simple and thats what makes it so tuff!!! a set of paddle tires for the back helps in loose dirt and sand, it will help keep it strait.. When I think of any other ideas I will keap them comein.. oh If you get a extra top when you grab the slash you can make yourself a slashMaxx.. I want a new top I can paint for the maxx even though that yellow and black one I have has been changed alittle bit I will be doing new pics soon.. take it easy ash and any ???'s you might have dont hesitate!!!
