All you really need is liquied mask then you can draw out your designand cut it out peice by peice a spray when and where you need.

All my race schemes are rattles. But here is my best efforts with just rattlers.

Some great lookin stuff!! Seems the better the masking job the better the rattlecan comes out. Never thought of going that far with rattles but WOW!! Impressive!!

Yes, just mask off what you dont want the spray pattern, then spray it until it starts to bead, but not run. Spray right after it beads being careful not to bump the body and ruin the beads. Spray your first coat every couple minutes before the water starts to dry, then let it sit until the water dries or paint then take a paper towel and dab up the droplets. After that, spray your backer to bring out the pots in the paint from the water, then spray your final color where you masked.

Simple but the after result is neeto.

nice i may have to try it out on the 1980 chevy body i got today

I just finished this one tonight. This is actually the first and only all rattle can body I've ever done to my recollection. Hands down the quickest paintjob I've ever thrown together. Aside from cutting out the body (because I did that a few years ago!) I probably have an hour into this.
