OK, so one of my old friends from school has offered me 2 rc vehicles for £60, 1 is a Thunder tiger ts4n and other is a thunder tiger ssk monster truck.

The ssk has 4wd, tuned pipe, pro 18-bsx engine and the rest, iv seen it run and the wheels are pretty wrecked but iv got some alloy wheels with offroad tyres for trucks anyway.

The ts4n is 4wd too, tuned pipe, pro 12-bx engine ect. it does not drive because there are a few broken parts but i have loads of ts4n spares most of them new.

i know both of these go for £150+ brand new, so i think this could be a smart investment, what do you think?

80% off new is usually a pretty good deal if the rigs are in good condition and require minimal repair. My main concern would be getting parts. Check to see if they are easily available and if they are expensive.

I've made the mistake of buying a used rig because it was a smoking deal (or so I thought) and ended up paying more in parts than the rig cost new.

yeah the stock parts are easy to get for me a my lhs specifys in thunder tigers because they are the shop owners favorite rcs'.

i bought my first ts4n off the same friend but wasn't in great condition but did have a 2 speed clutch :D, after disasembly, good clean and about £30 spent on new parts and spares for the future it is now fully funtional.
