Anybody else experiencing long delays on their packages once they hit Indy?
From what I have read, the USPS has installed a lot of automatic sorting machines around the country. Keep in mind the postal centers are serviced by a lot of folks who worked hand sorting mail and the machines are doing their jobs. Sorting mail has always been done 24/7. The machines have problems and are out of service 8-10 hours a day and USPS will NOT let employees sort by hand. So, stuff just backs up at the sorting centers. Employees are embarrassed and frustrated and want to get things moving along but aren't allowed. I have read this from several different sources. Looks like AI stands for Almost Intelligent.

So it’s still ahead of schedule from my recent deliveries 🤣
Truth-but your info, changed day to day at least, and had some destination/progress scans.. Mine hasn’t done shiit for (4) days straight.. So basically hasn’t moved since it was supposed to be delivered. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When the original COVID scare shut most things down shipping problems with the USPS were rampant. Overdue packages we shown as being shipped, maybe reaching a transfer site, then disappear. What happened here locally was the packages would reach them but they were so far behind delivery wise that they wouldn't be reported as being received. Finally, when they were caught up enough to deliver them the package would be reported as being received and out for delivery.

Understand your pain and frustration, Kevin. Similar things happen here with Houston delivery. Even mailings with a local destination go to Oklahoma City distro, then turn-around and come back here. Weird. Stopped following tracking on my packages because of that. -AC

Yeah, @Lostinthewoods86 has had packages close to him then leave and go to Texas for some strange reason.

That's what I'm saying 🤔 I looked at one yesterday, shows that. The region has no snow. Heck maybe it was just cloudy, idk 😄
Massachusetts? On Wednesday? Did they have snow, wind, rain, locusts?

I sent out a package, via USPS, on Tuesday, into the Los Angeles area. Postal worker says it should be there next Monday. Let's see what happens.
Package got there on promised date!
