i just pruchased a hyper 7 pcr pro and ofna hyper.21 8 port race. w/o pull start. now i got it w/o pull start because it was a deal, but ill start it with the pully on my altenator before i buy a start box. so my question is this; on this buggy and rear exhaust engine will this adapter plate, will i be able to get a shaft back there to start it?

i have looked @ pics of the buggy and cannot tell.

i appreciate any help

no you will never get a roto start in there

you will need a pull start or a stater box for the hyp 7

Just to clarify, the Hyper 8 ports have an indentation in the top of the pull start to allow clearance for the exhaust header. Consequently, the Force/SH/Picco rotostart adaptors will not fit.

Hyper pull starts go for around $20 on eBay.

well if you bought the W/O P/S model thats means to put a pull start on youll need to buy a new back plate and a starting shaft. So you actually didnt save any money buying a non-pullstart engine then wanting to put a P/S on it. Thats a Oxymoron if you wanted to put a P/S on it you should of gotten the engine with pullstart.

Yeah. Sorry, I forgot about the bearing, shaft and backplate. Looks like a starter box will be a better solution for you unless you can get a complete pullstart engine with a worn out piston and sleeve on the cheap.

OK I am the one that sold the Package to him. I have tried and knew that I would have to exchange the shaft and add the One Way.

Werks21 I would have told you this if you wanted the shaft start. I am putting one on my Picco 26 as my arm gets tired from the Pullstart. The engine you have will work great in that buggy. The bump start is the way to go but for convenience the shaft start is cool as well.

thanks for the link VB. i should be able to snag all the parts for under $30 shipped courtest of ebay.
