This is the third one of these I have gotten from Amazon that look like this. I explained to them after the second one, that they need to put them inside a protective box for shipping, as UPS is simply going to pile crap on top of it, and this happens. They ship them in a padded envelope, and nothing more. The first one (which arrived with the servo horn sticking through the box) went nuts as soon as I put power to it, and promptly burnt up. The other two (one of which got shipped to someone else by mistake), have been exchanges. I really don't feel like tearing a rig down only to find out that yet another servo is bad. I much prefer putting things back together in working order when I'm done. I've generally had good service with Amazon, but recently they have been going down hill IMHO. This isn't my first issue, or my second, all in the past six months. Anyone else?

Man that sucks, must be putting all to heir newbies on shipping. They probably are putting the vets on the prime gimmick.

Gotta have someone flapping their arms for their 30 minute delivery.

I have had problems with Amazon before, similar things like packing items that can poke through padded envelopes. Happened with some dogbones one time of which the package was empty and I was out of money and an item since I opened the package before telling them what had happened.

Also when I used to collect Vintage games they had a bad habit of putting a "Mint in Box" game in padded envelopes. Also had habits of putting order # stickers on Vintage games/boxes.

It would always royally piss me off and is one reason I don't shop through amazon much anymore.

I'd try chatting with them online and explaining what's going on. I've been using Amazon for years and far far more in the last year since I got Prime and have always had great success with them.

I've been a customer for years, and a Prime member for about two years. Just got off online chat with them, pretty much same old story that I was told the past two times. We're very sorry, and we'll get the packaging corrected, and replace it if it doesn't work. Meanwhile, I've been waiting two weeks for an item in new condition to arrive, which it never does. If this one doesn't work, I'm done with Amazon, I vote with my wallet.

well looks like we are having the same problems, i just burnt up a second shift servo.

I usually have problems with items shipped by UPS. The outer boxes look the servo box pictured above with black dust like tire tracks on the outside. I try to avoid shipping by them when I can.

Amazon has been my best bet this Christmas, we've received most of our stuff in about 2 weeks. Wal-Mart has taken over a month for my son's gift....and they keep changing the arrival date.

I've had PRIME for about six months and couldn't be happier, my wife ordered a book for my son and after ordering my daughter told her she had it already so when it arrived my wife went to return it and amazon said since we were loyal customers to keep the book and they refunded the money granted the book was under ten dollars but you don't see those kind of things happen any more.
