Not sure, but you don't want to go to big, or you start dealing with weight being a bit top heavy for center of gravity.

People are going to have a bit of a hard time answering this because most of us just use the stock batteries. I get plenty of run time out of ours with them. These little trucks don't need anything crazy. As Doom said, bigger battery is going to hurt performance. Rock crawlers do better on small batteries.

But to figure it out for yourself, measure the area you have to work with. Then find the biggest battery that will fit.
