Hi guys. I acquired this very cheaply at the weekend. I have stripped it down give it a clean up and all looks good.
Apart from the engine. That looks scrap. Can anyone suggest what to do. Get it repaired? Anyone know anyone who could do it. But another engine. Anyone selling 1. Your thoughts greatly appreciated.
The engine is a size 28.
Thanks so.much in advance..

Noooo it has to be nitro.
Intended use is just down the local park and have some fun.
Thanks.

Those Thunder Tiger engine were a descent stock engine for the Mgt's back in the day ,an easy to tune!

That Lsn looks a little too far out an should only be about 5 1/2 to 6 turns out ,an also ,the engine appears
to have been ran way too rich by the looks of the residue on it!
Besides the corrosion ,an it still has good compression ,it should still run!

But the engine has become detatched inside and is solid stuck tight. I do not know how to fix it. Help!

Try spraying WD-40 inside the engine ,let it soak for a while ,an put channel locks on the fly wheel ,
then easy slowly work the fly backward & forward until it breaks free!

That is a dang good deal for a 28!....:thumbs-up:
If I were needing a basher 28, I'd give one a try just to see how they are. I've had/witnessed/helped with a few dynamite based RTR engines in the past and they did ok. Not the longest lasting, but still 6+ gallons before needing a pinch. They all tuned well, held a tune well and just worked in general.

I've had the Mach .15, 26SS (losi based) and helped with a couple mach 427's, grey and gold.
