Schumacher Fusion resto build #3

I’ve had this parts car sitting around so I dedicated a day to restoring it using spare parts. As you can see it’s in rough shape, many missing parts and the wrong S1 upper deck on a S2 chassis.

I just happened to have a new S2 chassis, S2 upper deck, Thunder Tiger engine, tuned pipe, foam bumper, and some free time.

Everything went together pretty seamlessly, just the typical Schumacher design philosophy to deal with. I find it slightly annoying that the upper deck has to be remove to install the engine, but the carb has to be removed to install the upper deck

About the blue cooling head protector.. it’s meant for a Team Associated I’ll probably anodize it purple in the future.

Absolutely beautiful cars my friend. Totally jealous of the 3 speed, mostly beacuase it sounds bad ass.

Two of them have their original bodies, one isn’t even painted yet and the other is a Subaru WRC. I want to preserve them and get some new replacement bodies that I won’t mind scratching but so far I haven’t found anything that “pops”.

Anodized the cooling head protector purple, currently working on polishing the tuned pipe. I’m thinking of selling this car…

I put some new Schumacher brand wheels on it and tossed a Bimmer body on it. Gonna put it up for sale as is
