i need a good base lins set up for my sc10. its the one with the rtr shocks. the track i race at it tight with a real slick surface.

First off, keep a close eye on the shocks. They are a weak spot in the truck and tend to leak. I rebuilt mine with better orings and no issues since. I did find one with a bad body, emailed AE and they sent me a new shock.

Front- stock pistons, 40wt oil, blue springs, middle hole on upper mount and inner hole on lower mount, inner hole on both camber link mounts. 1.5 deg neg. camber, zero toe-in.
Rear- stock pistons, 30wt oil, green springs, 4th hole on upper mount (drilled new one) and outer hole on lower mount, inner hole on inboard link mount, 2nd hole from outside on hub carrier link mount.

The tires would depend on the track. I run Wishbones on the rear and stock up front and works awesome on our hard track. Calipers are also good tires for the rear. This link has some good ideas too: http://www.teamsc10.com/post/tuning-repair/6-tips-improve-sc10-rear-traction

Main thing is to check the rules of your track too on what you can do for the class.

When you can afford it, go brushless.

Hope this helps some.

thanks man. theres pretty much no rules in what your allowed to do at our track except your not allowed 1/8th buggy tires. I'm already running a 17.5 brushless with nimh batterys for heats and a 5000mah li-po with added weight for the main.

Grumpy, what better o-rings did you use? My FT shocks leak ever so slightly.

I cheat on them. My younger brother works for the railroad and found some in his truck that are a perfect fit and are the clean ticket. I have about 11 race nights on them after a rebuild and no leaks. :thumbup1:
