I have just built a Savage X SS. Truck is great, seems very solid. I am just having one problem. Well, when i crank it(on a stand) the wheels start spinning immediately. Checked and double checked the clutch and it seems assembled correctly. I have to pick it up and kind of set it down while its in motion or it will die. If i apply brakes it kills the engine. Please Help, because other than that it seems great. Thanks

Does sound like your clutch has issues. Or, your throttle linkage isn't set right in combination with your idle on the carb not being set high enough. If the linkage was keeping the engine rev'ing too high, then you apply brakes with the idle screw set too low, you go right past "idle" and the engine stalls.

However, it does sound like your clutch has issues. If you have the ability, take the bell off and post up a photo of it so we can help you out.

I got it going properly now Olds, thanks much anyways buddy...:)

However, i do have a question....will this fit my particular Savage...its the X SS K4.6...http://www.rcplanet.com/RDLs_Tw_Exh_Pipe_p/rdl61730xp.htm

Please stay far away from that pipe and pretty much any pipe with a dual outlet like that. If you want the best performing pipe out there get an ercm pipe and be done.

send me a link of the suggestions guys...i just thought it looked cool and had equal or better performance. Guess i was wrong, lol.
