  1. Bashing
So I went to my LHS today to look at the Savage X and XL. The guy behind the counter then showed me the LST2 for $30 cheaper than the XL. I am trying to replace my old original T-maxx, and now I'm not sure on what to buy. I am looking for a general bashing truck, not gonna race. I have heard good things about the durability of the Savage, but I liked the nicer radio and Multi speed trans in the LST2. What do you guys think?

My buddy has an LST and I've driven it many times and absolutely love his truck. Sometimes this fall or next winter you can bet I'll be purchasing an LST2. I'd go with the Losi LST2.

Once again, dont know anything about the LST2, but the Savage is one tough truck.:first_place:

I would have agree with Jerry. I absolutely love my LST and would NEVER part with it. Take a look at the Losi Aftershock too before you decide. Basically a LST2 without reverse and receiver battery, and a .26 instead of the Mach 427. Same radio gear that gives the LST series the single best RTR radio system out there, and a steal at $369.00.

Good luck with the new truck!

i haven't owned an LST or LST2 but i have no complaints about my savage. Its nowhere near stock form but it takes a beating like no other. They are easy to work on and there are tons of great hop ups for them.

Both are great. The LST2 has another version out after it too that is a bit larger.

The savage is a real brute though... tough call.

Racing or bashing? If bashing, I'd probably lean towards the savage still over the LST. I have both and I like both. (1" extended savage, heavily modified aftershock).

Yea I saw the XXT, the only reason I was leaning towards the LST2 was because its on special for $100 off. The Savage XL is $679, the LST2 is $649 (reg $749), and I believe the XXL was about $850 (all in Canadian funds).

The XXL is a great package. A lengthened LST2 with the Low range removed, Spektrum DX3S, and a Losi 457(spec 3 clone). And it's faster than the XL. :)
