Ryft Crawler - Back Under the Knife

Next round of modifications underway in efforts to take our Ryft crawler to the next level. It's already surpassed our expectations on what a Ryft can be made to do, but with some new and lighter parts, along with some suspension changes, I think we can take it up a notch.

New skid and transmission installed ( non-overdrive ) and custom driveshaft mounts. Waiting on the printer to finish some new parts and then the cage will be ready to mount.

Status update,

Out on the rock, the new rear shock mounts let us run the rear as a droop suspension, settling the Ryft down and low to the ground. The new 10th scale skid and links have the bottom sitting flat, resulting in a Ryft that walks up walls with ease. Down side is that really needs to be 4WS and Portals to take full advantage of the wheel base. Overall it crawls very well, perfectly suited to steep and technical climbs. Not sure if we will keep pouring money into the build.

The lower it gets, the more it looks like a jumping spider, which seems appropriate since it can climb walls.
