hello, i was just out running my e firestorm flux, and the temperature of the motor after a bunch of speed ruuns was about 150-175F degrees. I just want to make sure thats not too hot. And one more thng, how warm should the lipo be after a pretty long run. It is a 7.4v 4100mah SMC lipo, if that matters. It was around 80 degrees, just about warm. It was around 85 degrees outside, so that might affected it. thanks for the help.:)

thats about the temps I get on my slash with a cc sv2 sidewinder esc. and 4pole 5700kv. and I have been told it is about average.

I wouldnt push much past 155-160 at best, I've been racing for 10+ years and the constant heat abuse at 170 shortens the life of the esc, motor and battery extremely!
I would re-gear and possibly put a fan on.
I run between 135 and 150 and my gear seems to last a long time.

hope this helps.

;):first_place::first_place:heat has a major effect on how long all of your electronics work. if you can't run your r/c vehicle at full throttle then you should regear. that will allow everything to run cooler. i do not like goin above 150 degrees, ill shut down if it goes up to there because it may not be "hurting nothing" but i promise this it aint "helping nothing" .. i hope all of this helps you out.
