Running temp help!

hello, i was just out running my e firestorm flux, and the temperature of the motor after a bunch of speed ruuns was about 150-175F degrees. I just want to make sure thats not too hot. And one more thng, how warm should the lipo be after a pretty long run. It is a 7.4v 4100mah SMC lipo, if that matters. It was around 80 degrees, just about warm. It was around 85 degrees outside, so that might affected it. thanks for the help.

thats about the temps I get on my slash with a cc sv2 sidewinder esc. and 4pole 5700kv. and I have been told it is about average.

I wouldnt push much past 155-160 at best, I've been racing for 10+ years and the constant heat abuse at 170 shortens the life of the esc, motor and battery extremely!
I would re-gear and possibly put a fan on.
I run between 135 and 150 and my gear seems to last a long time.

heat has a major effect on how long all of your electronics work. if you can't run your r/c vehicle at full throttle then you should regear. that will allow everything to run cooler. i do not like goin above 150 degrees, ill shut down if it goes up to there because it may not be "hurting nothing" but i promise this it aint "helping nothing" .. i hope all of this helps you out.
