I've had my car about a week now, been tearing up the garden, thoroughly enjoying myself...however !! All of a sudden I can only run about 1/3 of a tank of fuel before the motor just cuts out. Start it again and run for a minute or so and it cuts out again. I have changed the air filters but no difference. I have reset the needlevalve, no difference. Anyone got any ideas ?

Reset it to what? It sounds to me like it's overheating. It starts again after it cools down. Either it's getting so hot it's losing compression, the fuel is vapor locking or it's way to lean.

The design and shape of some fuel tanks will cause them to run lean as the tank begins to empty. Easiest way to combat this is to tune the engine when it is at a half tank, which means you'll be running slightly richer when it is full and slightly lean when it is nearly empty.

I don't believe it's too lean cos there is blue smoke coming out of the exhaust between half and full throttle. Rest to What - well the book says screw the needle valve in completely & then back it out 2 1\8 turns.

The temp of the motor is below 200F
