I was wondering what you guys get to an RX pack before it has to be charged.

I'm running the OFNA MDP 1400 packs in my r/cs and they die out on me after about 15 minutes or so.

I'm also running Hitec 5645mg digital servos on steering.

Is a short run time normal for that?

you got some strain somewhere. I run a 1200mah pack in my S3 buggy with 2 digi servos and it lasts me an entire race day. Check your end points, make sure they aren't trying to go further than physically possible. make sure nothing is binding. Something is holding your stuff back to be drawing the power that fast.

My packs are all about 1100 or 1200. I use one pack per vehicle for all heat races, then put in a freshly charged pack and make a 20-30 minute main without issue. I've also done a 40 minute once without any problems. Sounds to me as though your either not charging it right or your servos are constantly chattering. Digi's tend to use more juice, but you should get more than 15 minutes.

I have a 1200 cheapy (cheapbatterypacks.com) one and it usually last me a good 3 or 4 bashes. (I usually only bash for about 30-45 minutes a time) so its pretty decent.

even with a 1050mah NiMh pak i get a good 4 hours servo time out of my battery pack. Thats based on two futaba s3305 servos and correct epa adjustment.

How old is/are the battery pak/paks ? how long do you charge it/them for ? what charger do you use ? its not unknown for an older battery pak to drain fast, especially if it has a dud cell in it. try a new pak or borrow one to test your run time. could just be that the battery is no longer "Good"
