I was Running my RS4 today and it started showing signs of a air leak . stalling and reving up and down at idle. then it lost all compersion and wont run at all. this is a 1 month old RS4 . So i took it home and looked at it. I noticed that when it was on its compersion stroke i could hear air escaping between the head and case.
so i went to take the head off to look at the piston and the 4 screws on the head were lose and i mean VERY LOSE. The only screws i forgot to check when i got it.
So, i took off the head cleaned it up every thing looked good. and put the head back on and tighted the screws good. so i test fired it up and it started up on first pull and hadd the most compersion i ever seen EVEN MORE BEFORE I BROKE IT IN !!!. But it runs good now very good.
BUT, my question if the head was loss throgh break-in and alot of TUNNING :devious: . abot 2 qaurts of fuel through it . Will there be ne thing that could have worn out faster b/c the head was not tight ? if soo i wanna call HPI they shouldnt send u a engnie with a head tighted by a 2 year old kid thats how losse they where one was starting to back out. ne advice will help ..
