I have an Axial SCX10.2 Jeep Wrangler and I love mine.

A buddy of mine started with an Axial Deadbolt SCX10 and now has also added an Axial SCX10.2 builders kit, Cross RC Demon and three Traxxas TRX-4. After he got one TRX-4 and ran it he bought two more. He told me that as much as he hates Traxxas basher vehicles and what they stand for as a company that the TRX-4 is his favorite due to the portal axles, the 2 speed transmission and great out of the box shocks.

I'm wanting those features too but am waiting and hoping that Axial releases an SCX10.3 builders kit sometime soon with portal axles and a 2 speed. If they release that, I will preorder one as soon as I can as I also am not a fan of Traxxas business ethics. But if Axial takes their sweet time I am debating getting the TRX-4 chassis kit.

I don't think you can go wrong with either vehicle from Axial or Traxxas given the amount of aftermarket support for both companies. My understanding of crawlers is that they are considerably slower than other RC's so that's something to keep in mind.

Not a fan of Traxxas but the summit with some rc4wd wheels and 40 series tires is pretty hard to beat. Locking diffs and a 2 speed is nice to have for crawling.
