Playin with the rival today, and on the second pack the steering servo would randomly jitter for a few seconds then stop. What would cause this so i can look into it? Thanks

It could be a bad servo, bad connection, or the servo isn't getting enough or clean power. Savox servos will do this if not on a good BEC. Do you have any other servos you could try in it? Or do you have another receiver you can test the servo on? Sometimes a process of elimination is all you can do.

I will take a look in the receiver box and clean connections. I dont have any other servos or receiver 's. Start there i guess

It may be moisture inside the servo or receiver ports. Maybe you will get lucky and it will resolve itself. Do you have any dielectric grease? If so, put a tiny bit on your receiver pins.

Any time i ran it in wet conditions, i would open the receiver box to let it dry. Will check it out later

The servos take alot of hits and just dont last.
Probably time to replace it. I have been impressed with the JX 46KG servo I bought recently on Amazon for $59.
It seems to be on par with the Savox $130 monster torque 2290sg servo.

its absolutely hilarious the abuse people put there rcs thru then want them to run like nib
I know what i do to them, i know its going to break. But i am new to rc's, so i want to see where to look first.

A.E. had some descent steering servo's ,I know my Mgt 2008 steering servo lasted for about 8 years
of brutal bashing!..😂
Could just a dirty contact or some moister like said ,other than hard hits ,the truck should have
a servo saver in the steering rack!
Should just open the servo up an let it air out ,rec. ,try blow it out with air ,sometimes dirt can cause
interference because dirt has a certain amount of metal properties in it!..👍😎

buy a servo tester start there less than 12 $ next servo get a good servo saver

So i took connections apart, cleaned re assembled. But i think i found the problem, it does it when the transmitter is close to the car. When i noticed it doing this the first time was when my kid was flipping it back over with the transmitter laying next to the car.

Welp i think the servo took a dump. Went to play with it and the steering locked up at full turn. Turned car off and back on and was good for 2min or so then same thing. Used a pliers to break the servo free. Now it works again but is running hot and gets stuck once in a while

Mine was doing this fresh out of the box. The steering is locked up and I don't know how to fix it. Just got this thing today. Should I replace the servo or just send the rc back and get a new one?
