Those motors are the rebuildable type ,an were most popular for racing because of that ,therefore ,the brushes can be
easily changed an the comm cleaned ,an yes ,the motors timing can be changed ,some motors had timing marks on them!

To adjust the timing ,you just need to loosen the screws an not take them completely out an slightly twist the end bell!
Its been well over 20 years since I had messed with them!

The diff oil is old and needs to be replaced. I like 40000 in back 60000 in front and 80000to 500000 in the center you want wheelies use 1000000 in the center. you will have to tune those numbers to fit your driving style a conditions

I think its adjusted to 60 i think theres one more notch so do i want higher or lower the number to adjust timing is it like a timing in a car retard or advance where would you think the sweet spot would be? Ty

Theres only one notch higher will it make a diferance? Witch dieection should i go step down two notches or step up one notch ? Would going higher make it faster? Or going lower make it faster?

I am not sure ,it has been too long for me to remember ,but to far advance may cause the power to drop off ,it also
slows the reverse down!
I hadnt did too much of that in my time like a person that raced ,they also came in stock & modified forms depending
on the windings in the motor.

Yours maybe stock ,an the brushes could even be worn out ,dont know!

I had a modified Twister motor ,an after getting it an running it in my Losi JR-2 ,I quit messing with any other ,it
was extreme with the Novak super rooster ESC an with the 5000 MAH battery!...LOL
